So Low - A Visit from the Past

INTRODUCTION

To start you all off with this exiting article topic I would like to explain a few things about my site. To start I will tell you that the articles of So Low are one of many topics that will be discussed and talked about through this blog. Choosing So Low first, I will explain to you what this topic is all about.

WHY ONE WHEN YOU CAN HAVE TWO?

This topic (So Low) will tell you all about the skills of solo built decks, how to think about the solo styled builds and what to do against a solo deck. The article right now will be focusing on the 1st choice, to tell you all about the skills of solo building. Starting with this week I am going to visit the past (just like it says on the title) and look at an old solo build ad recreate it with the new Fires of Outland cards. Bulkas was a big hit when Dark Portal was young, but now the Bulkas build is a good, but not keeping up, type of build. So lets get the old list and do some switcha-rooing!

BAD...BAD...BULKAS!

Those of you reading this blog and are thinking..."What!? What in the name is the 'Bulkas Build' !? ...well there is no need to sweat. I am just about to show you my version of the Bulkas Build. And for the rest of you out there who look at my deck and say...What!? What in the name is 'your Bulkas Build' ! Cant you see that is not a Bulkas Build!? ...well...just watch what the end result is. Remember, it is not this Bulkas Build we are focusing on, it is the OTHER 'Bulkas Build' . Now feast your eyes upon a delicously made 'Bulkas Build' ...

Hero: Bulkas Wildhorn

Allies
4 Guardian Steelhorn
3 Confessor Mildred
3 Rak Skyfury

Abilities
4 Intercept
4 Cruelty
2 Bloodrage

Equipment
4 Eskhandar’s Right Claw
3 Wraith Scythe
4 Stronghold Gauntlets
3 Striker’s Mark
2 Deathdealer Breastplate
2 Girdle of Uther
2 Skullflame Shield
2 Scarlet Kris
2 Legplates of Wrath

Quests
4 Counterattack!
4 Big Game Hunter
3 Sunken Treasure
3 Finkle Einhorn, At Your Service!
2 Poison Water

This deck is a simple Bulkas solo with only a minimum of ten allies. But now we are going to EAT, and I say EAT away the useless cards and pull in the new ones. This build shows that even though he can Bulkas was toooo lazy to dual weild two weapons. Though now that is a silly thing to say! For in FoO (In all my posts that will now men Fires of Outland) we have weapons that come free with an extra dual weild. This still can be a disadvantage if you want two specific weapons that dont come with the extra boost of dual weild, so we will still keep a couple traditional Dual Weilds for backup reasons. Keep only a couple though or you could be drawing a Dual Weild every turn. Then sadly you will get mad at the Dual Weild for being a dead card, then before you you know it you will go on boycott the card of such needed and wanted love!
Now to the basic card switching we have added 2x Dual Weild and we are pretty much good with the abilities. Though we can add Rampage... lets add 4x Rampage. We are now going to head to the equipment. right now our weapons are...2x Scarlet Kris, 3x Wraith Scythe, 4x Eshkander's Right Claw and 3x Strikers Mark. Lets keep the early game 2x carlet Kris, the 3x Wraith Scythe and the 3x Strikers Mark. Replacing the Right Claw for our Dual Weild friendly weapon, Latro's Shifting Sword but only add x3. Our armour seems efficient but maybe Pauldons of Fluid Thought could go well with this decks flow. I was thinking about Abacus of Violent Odds but that is a gamble. Adding 1 may not be that risky, for a late game finish. So let's add 1x Abacus of Violent Odds. Our quests are a bit weird lets minus 1x Finkle Einhorn and add 1x Poison Water. So here is our finished deck. It is a bit quickly done but it is not that bad. Not that bad at all...

Hero: Bulkas Wildhorn

Allies
4 Guardian Steelhorn
3 Confessor Mildred
3 Rak Skyfury

Abilities
4 Rampage
2 Dual Weild
4 Cruelty
2 Bloodrage

Equipment
2 Latro's Shifting Sword
1 Pauldrens of Fluid Thought
1 Abactius of Violent Odds
3 Wraith Scythe
4 Stronghold Gauntlets
3 Striker’s Mark
2 Deathdealer Breastplate
2 Girdle of Uther
2 Skullflame Shield
2 Scarlet Kris
2 Sunfury Bow of the Pheonix ( a little extra I added )

Quests
4 Counterattack!
4 Big Game Hunter
3 Sunken Treasure
2 Finkle Einhorn, At Your Service!
3 Poison Water

Now this is a strong solo. It is played by getting your strong weapons out and using Wraith Sycthe and Rampage to deal and heal imense damage. Well that is what this topic is pretty much about. Taking builds and making them better. We wont always do this starting from scratch is another option I will also do! Well see you next week for another So Low article but keep your eyes peeled for other topics, sush as Strategy and Idea topics. Trust me there will not just be one article every week. THATS BORING! Well anyway I hope you had fun and I will start trying to add pictures to my posts.

Till then SALUTASIONS!
